Beefy's walk

I finally got around to sending a cheque off for £265.00 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Research Organisation my sponsorship for my stroll around Hyde Park with or behind Sir Beefy! My friend Paul was in Beefy's slipstream & he raised exactly £500.00 for the Charity giving us a combined total of £765.00.

Let's hope that research & more awareness can catch this disease in its infancy or completely eradicate it. As soon as I know the final amount collected from all of Beefys walks I will let you all know. Thanks for your support.

I am still collecting if anyone would still like to contribute - after all what can you buy with a fiver!

Mick (15th June).

Beefy's walk

Funday

Greenwich held the Kidbrooke and Eltham MEGA FUN DAY at Samuel Montagu and Shoots. There were lots of stalls, food, music, performances, boxing etc and information points. These filled both grounds and attracted a large crowd

The weather remained dry and we were honoured by the presence of the following - Mayor Cllr Barbara Barwick Deputy Mayor Cllr Jim Gillman Well done all our volunteers led by Hilary and Liz who tirelessly manned our food and tombola stalls, sold raffle tickets or handed out flyers, also our faithful bar staff. All essential to ensure a much needed income from the day.
