Single Wicket

Please note single wicket is on Sunday 22 August. Please come along and enjoy a good day of fun.

Congratulations - We won the league

The 1st XI won the league this week with a win against Pembury. A huge congratulations to them. The 2 XI are currently sitting in fourth place after their win against Blackheath. There is no Sunday fixture today due to Single Wicket!! The midweek team lost to a strong Garrison side.

Well done boys!!

A Greenwich District Development Team comprising of nine Shoots players beat Bickley Park in the Genese Cup by 120 runs - to win Division C after a week of round robin cricket ( 4 games - winning 2, losing 1 & tieing one). Greenwich clinched the Division by 0.5 points - thanks to their heavy defeat of former League Leaders Bickley Park - with Josh Patrick hitting a sparkling maiden ton - 113 (19x4's + 3x6's). Josh & Liam Wright (13) put on 81 for the 7th wicket as Greenwich totalled 177 all out. Greenwich then proceded to bowl Bickley Park out for 57 - with Alex Biggs taking 4-11, Louis McLaren 2-9 & Alfie Arrowsmith 1-7 (supported by fine  fielding - resulting in two splendid run outs + great catches). It was fitting that the final Bickley Park wicket fell to a fine catch from Greenwich Skipper Josh. The Shoots boys involved in the Competition were: -Josh Patrick, Alex Biggs, Liam, Wright, Alfie Arrowsmith, Harry Shackleton, Felix & Leon Ursell, Jake Lovett, Dilagha Ali Maskhel & James Hart + Archie Thompson. Well Done Boys!

Colts Summary

Under 13's season now finished - lost on Friday by 61 runs to Orpington to finish bottom of Division 3. Under 15's season also finished - with the boys finishing a creditable 4th in a competitive Division 3; Special mention to Harry Lear, Connor Heywood, Josh Patrick, Dilagha Ali Maskhel, James Hart, Harry Cullum, Alfie Arrowsmith - who have all gone on to play Adult Cricket as well this Season! This show the real value of running a Junior Section. Good luck to the Rugby Boys with running your Junior Section in 2010/2011 - it aint easy but it is REWARDING
